Who we are
The Center for Holistic Livestock Development Initiative (“CHOLD Initiative”, “we”, “us”) is a non-profit organisation registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria, with its office in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory. What we collect
We collect only the information you choose to give us through the forms on this site:
- Enquiry forms: your name, email address, organisation, phone number, enquiry type, area of interest and the content of your message.
- Careers forms: the above, plus your location, preferred engagement type, a link to your CV or professional profile, and the experience details you provide.
We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics profiling on this site. Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which may record your IP address as part of delivering those files; if your organisation requires fonts to be served locally, this can be configured.
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry or partnership proposal.
- To assess your suitability for current and future opportunities, where you have submitted an expression of interest.
- To send you organisational updates, where you have asked to be added to a distribution list.
We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on the relevant form. You may withdraw that consent at any time.
How long we keep it
General enquiries are retained for up to two years after our last correspondence. Expressions of interest for roles and consultancies are retained for up to three years so we can match candidates against opportunities as they open. You may ask us to delete your record sooner.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only where necessary: with the members of our team handling your enquiry, and with service providers who operate our email and form infrastructure under contract. Where a partnership or programme requires information to be shared with a funder, government body or consortium partner, we will tell you before doing so.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act and comparable frameworks, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we are using it, or withdraw consent. Write to info@choldinitiative.org and we will respond within 30 days.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information you send us. No transmission over the internet is entirely secure, so please do not send sensitive personal or financial details through the website forms.
Recruitment fraud
CHOLD Initiative never charges a fee at any stage of recruitment or partnership. If you are asked to pay money in our name, do not pay: report it to info@choldinitiative.org.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as our services and legal obligations change. The current version will always be published on this page.
